Mimosa salad in a new way: what to replace the sardine
"Mimosa" is a very simple and delicious salad, which can be prepared in the classic version with sardine, rice. But if you want the dish to be lighter, replace the rice with boiled eggs, and canned baked mackerel or tuna in oil.
- eggs - 3 pcs.
- cheese - 60-70 g
- carrots - 2 pcs.
- potatoes - 2 pcs.
- tuna - 1 b.
- mayonnaise - 100 g
- spices: salt, pepper - to taste
Method of preparation:
1. Boil eggs, carrots, potatoes, cool and peel. On a work surface lay out food film.
2. On it evenly lay out the egg yolk grated on a fine grater in the shape of a rectangle. Cover the top with a mesh of mayonnaise. The second layer - finely grated hard cheese, again mayonnaise net. The third layer - finely grated carrots (the layer of carrots should not reach the upper and lower edges by 1 cm). Again a mesh of mayonnaise. Next - potatoes, grated on a fine grater and a mesh of mayonnaise (it should also not reach the upper and lower edges a little). Next - grated proteins, mayonnaise net. In the middle of the rectangle the last lay out the canned tuna chopped with a fork.
3. Helping yourself with the foil, first wrap the bottom edge in the middle, then the top, forming a roll. Wrap in another layer of food film and put in the refrigerator for 3-4 hours, preferably overnight. Before serving, unwrap and cut into serving pieces.
