Pea soup is one of the most nourishing and delicious dishes, when preparing which it is very important to properly boil peas so that they are not hard and tough. For a pleasant flavor, add smoked meat to the soup, such as chicken meat, wings and ribs.

Culinarian Yana shared on Instagram a recipe for a delicious pea puree soup, the peas for which will be very soft.

Soup recipe

Ingredients:

  • Chopped peas - 250 g
  • Potatoes - 3-5 pcs.
  • Onion - 1 pc.
  • Carrots - 1 pc.
  • Water - 1.8 liters
  • Soda - a pinch
  • Salt, pepper - to taste

Method of preparation:

1. Rinse the peas well, add a pinch of baking soda and pour boiling water so that the water level is twice as high as the peas. Leave overnight. In the morning, pour new water and cook for 40-60 minutes over medium heat.

2. Dice the onion and carrot and fry until soft.

3. Add the diced potatoes and other vegetables to the peas, salt and pepper to taste. Cook for another 20 minutes on low heat. Afterwards, beat everything with a blender and serve with smoked meat.
