Lazy Napoleon without making dough: a recipe for a homemade dessert
Napoleon is a delicious and light homemade dessert made from puff pastry in the classic version. The cream is best made with custard.
On Instagram, cook Tati Chudnova shared a recipe for a delicious lazy Napoleon made from puff pastry with custard.
Ingredients:
- puff pastry – 500 g (bake at 180C – 15-20 minutes)
- eggs – 2 pcs.
- sugar – 130 g
- flour – 3 tbsp (60 g)
- milk – 500 ml
- butter – 100 g
For the cream:
- eggs
- sugar
- flour
Method of preparation:
1. Cream: mix eggs, sugar, flour until smooth. Pour in the milk, stir, and over medium heat, stirring, bring to a thick consistency and turn off the heat (do not let the cream boil). Add the butter, stir until it dissolves, cover with cling film, and leave to cool.
2. Sprinkle the dough with powdered sugar and bake. After that, divide it into layers and put it layer by layer alternating with the cream. The cream should be the final layer. Sprinkle with crumbs from the baked dough and refrigerate overnight!
