Juicy lazy cabbage rolls in tomato sauce in the oven: how to cook a hearty dish

Every housewife knows how to make cabbage rolls, despite the fact that it is a very long process. However, it is worth noting that cabbage rolls can be made in a lazy version - just add chopped cabbage to the minced meat, or you can also use Peking cabbage.
The cook shared on Instagram a recipe for lazy and very juicy, delicious stuffed cabbage rolls that are cooked in the oven.
Ingredients:
- minced meat - 600 g
- cabbage - 500 g
- onion - 1 pc (large)
- egg - 1 pc.
- salt - 1 tsp.
- round rice - 100 g
- black pepper - 1/2 tsp.
For frying:
- onions - 2 pcs.
- carrots - 1 pc.
For the sauce:
- sour cream 20% - 150 g
- tomato paste - 2 tbsp.
- hot water - 500 g
- salt - 1 tsp.
Method of preparation:
1️. Finely chop the cabbage, cover with boiling water and leave for 10 minutes. Then drain the water, put the cabbage in a sieve and let the water drain completely, and cool the cabbage.
2️. Rinse the rice, cover with boiling water and cook for 10 minutes. Add the onion, rice, and cabbage to the minced meat. Season with salt and pepper to taste and add the egg, mix well.
3. Form the minced meat balls, put them in a baking dish and bake for 30 minutes at 200 C.
4. Finely chop the onion and grate the carrots. Fry the onion in vegetable oil until transparent, add the carrots, and fry for a few minutes. Put the onions and carrots on the cabbage rolls.
5. Sauce: mix sour cream with tomato paste and salt. Pour hot water and mix.
6. Pour the sauce over the lazy cabbage rolls and bake for another 30-45 minutes.
