Apple pies can be made light. If you want the pie to be such, you don't need to make the base too heavy with flour.
Cook Polina shared a recipe for a delicious apple pie, which is made with almost no flour, on Instagram.
Ingredients:
- 800 g. apples
- 2 eggs
- 30 g of butter
- 100 ml. milk
- 70 g. flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 50 g of sugar
- 10 g of vanilla sugar
Streusel
- 40 g. butter
- 80 g of flour
- 30 g of sugar
- 10 g vanilla sugar
Method of preparation:
1. Beat eggs with sugar and vanilla. Add melted butter, milk, flour and baking powder.
2. Peel apples and cut them into thin slices. Roll the apples in batter. Each piece should be covered.
3. Grease a pie mold with butter and cover with parchment. Put the apples in the mold and cover with the rest of the batter.
4. Bake the pie for 30 minutes at 180 C.
5. To make crumbs, add flour to soft butter and grind. Sprinkle the cake and put it back in the oven for 10 minutes.
