How to pickle sprats at home: recipe for tasty and budget fish

Sprats are ideal for making delicious and healthy sandwiches and spreads. They can be deliciously pickled, with spices and herbs, and must be properly cleaned, removing all the insides and heads.
Chef Valerii Ponomar shared a recipe for pickled sprats with hot peppers, oil, and herbs on Instagram.
Ingredients:
- lettuce - 400 g.
- hot pepper - 1/2 pc.
- garlic - 4-5 cloves.
- parsley bunch - 1.5 tbsp.
- salt - 1 tsp.
- lemon juice - 1/2 pc.
- olive oil - 150 ml (first pressing)
Method of preparation:
1. Remove the insides, heads and backbones. It is more convenient to do this with scissors as you do not damage the product. The black film should also be removed.
2. Grind pepper, garlic, and parsley with salt and lemon juice to maximize flavor and aroma.
3. Mix with olive oil and put the cleaned fish in the marinade. The fish should be covered with oil. You can also use any jar. Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
Serve the fish with black bread and sprinkle with herbs!
