Stewed cabbage is a very simple, budget-friendly, and satisfying dish that can be prepared with meat, minced meat, vegetables, and prunes. To make the cabbage juicy, chefs recommend adding tomato paste.

Cook's tip: the secret to juicy, tender cabbage is to cook it in a thick-bottomed pan, which should be salted at the end of cooking!

Ingredients:

  • 1 cabbage – 1.5 kg
  • 1 medium carrot
  • 1 medium onion
  • 3-4 cloves of garlic
  • 1.5 tbsp. of tomato paste
  • 100-150 ml of water
  • salt, pepper, oil, bay leaf

Method of preparation:

1. Fry the onions and carrots until golden brown.

2. Then add the chopped cabbage, stir in the garlic, tomato paste, spices, and water, stir again, and simmer for 1 hour over low heat.
