How to cook pickled tomatoes correctly: a recipe for a tasty snack with mustard

To prepare pickled tomatoes you do not necessarily need a barrel, it can be done in jars. The important thing is to make a proper marinade, which will make the tomatoes ferment well.

Culinarian Maria shared a recipe on Instagram for delicious pickled tomatoes that won't go hollow or be soft.

Ingredients:

  • salt - 100 ml
  • sugar - 100 ml
  • mustard powder - 1 tbsp.
  • tomatoes
  • water
  • horseradish
  • dill
  • currant and cherry leaves
  • garlic

Method of preparation:

1. At the bottom of a tray or jar (3 liters), place horseradish leaves, dill greens, currant and cherry leaves (or other greens you like), a few cloves of garlic.

2. Top with tomatoes and top again with herbs and garlic. Fill with cold water, cover and put in a cold place.
