How to cook liver so it is not bitter: tips and a recipe for salad
Chicken liver is an excellent product for making delicious cutlets, chops, and salads. You can also fry the liver with vegetables and stew it in sour cream.
Cook Victoria shared on Instagram a recipe for a light salad with liver, tomatoes and a delicious dressing.
To prevent the liver from being bitter, you need to pour milk over it first!
Ingredients:
- chicken liver - 350-400 g
- vegetable oil - 2 tbsp
- spices: salt, pepper - to taste
- oil - 1 tbsp. l.
- sugar - 2 tsp.
- orange - 2 pcs.
- arugula - 75 g
- cucumber - 1 pc.
- cherry tomatoes - 250 g
For the dressing:
- honey - 8 tsp.
- oil (unrefined) - 12 tbsp.
- French mustard - 4 tsp.
Method of preparation:
1. Wash, peel and cut the liver into pieces. Heat a frying pan with oil and fry the liver. Fry it on both sides over high heat, add spices and a little water, cover and simmer for 5 minutes. Remove the lid, add oil and stir for a few more minutes.
2. Heat a frying pan. Gradually spread the sugar and add the orange slices. Fry on both sides until golden brown.
3. For the dressing, mix honey, oil, and mustard.
4. Assemble the salad: put arugula, liver pieces, cucumber slices, cherry halves and orange slices on a plate. Drizzle with the dressing.
