How to cook crispy potatoes in country style: secrets and a recipe from Héctor Jiménez-Bravo
Country-style potatoes are a very hearty and delicious dish that every hostess knows how to cook. It is worth noting that for the potatoes to be soft and crispy, they should be cut, covered with boiling water, left for 20 minutes and then baked.
- Potatoes - 0.5 kg
- Salt - 1 tsp.
- Cornstarch - 50 g
- Red pepper - 0,5 tsp.
- Black pepper - 0.5 tsp.
- Paprika - 1 tsp.
- Vegetable oil
Method of preparation:
1. Cut potatoes into slices, add salt and pour boiling water. Leave for 20 minutes.
2. Add spices and a second spoonful of salt to the starch.
3. Drain the potatoes and dip them in the starch and spice mixture.
4. Place on a baking tray lined with foil and drizzled with oil and bake for 25 minutes at 200 C.
