How to cook a healthy baked pumpkin: we share the simplest recipe

Pumpkin is a very healthy and tasty vegetable that can be baked, boiled, and stewed with sour cream. Pumpkin can also be the basis for cooking cereals and desserts.

The cook shared a recipe for a delicious and healthy pumpkin with sour cream, spices, and garlic on Instagram.

Ingredients:

  • pumpkin - 500 g
  • sour cream - 180 g
  • water (cold) - 30 ml
  • vegetable oil - 2 tbsp
  • Provence herb mix - 1 tsp.
  • garlic - 3-4 cloves.
  • smoked paprika - 1 tsp.
  • salt/pepper - to taste
  • herbs (dill/parsley/green onions)

Method of preparation:

1️. Cut the pumpkin, take out the middle, and peel it. Cut into small cubes. Fry in a hot frying pan, add oil, and fry for 5-7 minutes over high heat, stirring occasionally.

2️. Add the herbs, garlic, salt, pepper, smoked paprika, and Provencal herb mixture to the sour cream, mix, and send to the pumpkin, mix well. Fry for 3 minutes stirring.

3️. Add 30 ml of water, stir again, cover the pan with a lid, and simmer for another 3-4 minutes.
