How to boil varenyky properly and why add vegetable oil to water: a life hack
Varenyky are a delicious and satisfying flour dish that almost every housewife knows how to make. You can make them with different fillings, and the most important thing is to make a good dough.
The chef shared her tips on how to boil varenyky and why to add oil to the water on Instagram.
How to cook varenyky correctly:
1️. Bring the water to a boil and add salt. Throw varenyky in and add 1 tbsp of oil to prevent them from sticking together. Cook them for 1 minute less than indicated on the package (about 5 minutes after boiling).
2️. Fry onion in a hot pan in oil until golden brown.
3️. Drain the water from the varenyky through a sieve or a colander. Add them to the onions and fry for 1-2 minutes.
Serve with herbs!
