How many eggs to add for a lush and successful sponge cake
Homemade sponge cake can be the perfect base for making delicious desserts. For it to be lush, cooks advise using at least 6 eggs. Be sure to beat them into a lush foam.
- sugar - 200 g
- eggs - 6 pcs.
- flour - 200 g
- leavening agent - 10 g
- milk - 40 g
- butter - 35 g
- dried poppy seeds - 50 g
- zest of 1 lemon
Method of preparation:
1. Beat eggs with sugar and salt for 15 minutes with a hand mixer (use dry and clean utensils).
2. Add sifted flour and baking powder. Pour in hot milk and vegetable oil. Stir and add poppy seeds and lemon zest.
3. Cover the mold with parchment, pour the batter and cook in the oven for 1 hour at 160 degrees without opening the oven.
4. Leave the sponge cake in the mold to cool and place in the refrigerator overnight.
