Hard cheese is often used to make hot sandwiches and salads. It can also be made at home from cottage cheese, sour cream, and a pinch of baking soda.

Cook Iryna shared a recipe for delicious and safe homemade hard cheese on Instagram.

Ingredients:

  • cottage cheese - 1 kg
  • milk - 1 kg
  • eggs - 2 pcs.
  • butter - 100 g
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • soda - 1 tsp.

1. Combine the cottage cheese with milk, bring to a boil and simmer over low heat for 15 minutes. Strain and squeeze well.

2. Then add salt, baking soda and butter, cook for 6-7 minutes over low heat, stirring constantly.

3. Add 2 eggs, stir and cook for a few minutes, stirring constantly until a viscous consistency is obtained.

4. Put the curd mass into a mold (silicone or wrap in cling film). Let it cool for 2-3 hours and you can eat!
