"Caesar" salad is an ideal dish for both a festive table and every day. After all, the dish is very simple to prepare, just cook the fillet well for the base and make a delicious sauce.

''Caesar'' salad

Cook Anna shared on Instagram a recipe for a delicious, budget-friendly Caesar salad that you can prepare in 15 minutes.

The sauce based on eggs, lemon juice, and mustard, as well as Parmesan cheese, will give the dish an unusual flavor!

Salad recipe

Ingredients:

  • fillet – 1 pc.
  • egg – 1 pc.
  • cherry tomatoes – 10 pcs.
  • iceberg lettuce – 1/2-2/3

Sauce:

  • yolks – 2 pcs.
  • oil – 200 ml
  • mustard – 1 tsp.
  • lemon juice – 2 tbsp. 
  • salt – 1/3 tsp.
  • pepper – a pinch
  • garlic – 1 clove
  • milk – 50-60 ml
  • parmesan cheese – 50-70 g

Method of preparation:

1. Cut the fillet, season with salt and pepper on both sides and fry on both sides over moderate heat until cooked. Wrap the fillet in foil to keep it juicy.

2. For the sauce: combine the egg yolks, mustard, salt, pepper, lemon juice, garlic, and oil in a deep bowl and beat with a blender. Add the milk and bring to the consistency of a sauce. Add the grated Parmesan cheese to the finished sauce and mix.

3. Breadcrumbs: cut the bread into cubes and fry in a frying pan with oil, sprinkle with salt and paprika, and cook until crisp, stirring constantly.

4. Cut the iceberg into slices, add 2-3 tbsp of sauce, mix. Chop the boiled egg, tomatoes, and fillet.

5. Assemble the salad: put the iceberg in a salad bowl or serving plates, top with cherry tomatoes, egg, sliced fillet, and sprinkle with breadcrumbs, and grated Parmesan cheese.
