Beetroot is not only a budget-friendly and healthy vegetable, but also absolutely versatile. It can be used to make many healthy dishes, including light salads, appetizers, sauces, and even desserts.

The FoodOboz editorial team shares a recipe for delicious beetroot caviar, with vegetables, onions and garlic, cooked in a pan.

Ingredients:

  • beets - 2 pcs.
  • carrot - 1 pc.
  • onion - 2 pcs.
  • garlic - 2 cloves.
  • ground black pepper
  • salt - to taste
  • oil - 4 tbsp. l.

Method of preparation:

1. Boil the beets until half cooked, cool and grate. Peel and grate the carrots and onions on a coarse grater, finely chop the onions. Peel and finely grate or chop the garlic. Fry everything in vegetable oil for about 5 minutes, then cover and simmer for 20 minutes, season with salt and pepper.

2. Fry the onion separately until golden brown, then add it to the stewed vegetables and simmer again for 10 minutes under the lid.
