Green tomato salad for winter with peppers, onions and herbs: a simple recipe
Green tomatoes can be the main ingredient in the preparation of delicious, original dishes for the winter. They can be used to make salads, sauces and jam.
FoodOboz editors share a recipe for a delicious salad of green tomatoes with herbs, bell peppers and onions.
- tomatoes - 2 kg
- onion - 1 kg
- sweet pepper - 1 kg
- hot pepper - 2-3 pcs.
- herbs - bundle
- salt - to taste
- vegetable oil - 200 ml
- 9% vinegar - 100 ml
Method of preparation:
1. Cut tomatoes into slices, salt, mix and cover with a lid, leave for 24 hours at room temperature.
2. Chop onions, sweet and hot peppers, herbs and add to tomatoes. Pour vinegar, vegetable oil, salt and leave for 1 hour.
3. Place the salad in one-liter jars. Cover with lids, place in a pot with a towel on the bottom, pour water slighly over the shoulders and sterilize for 5 minutes after boiling. Roll up the jarr and turn them upside down.
