Grated pie with jam: what to add to the dough to make it crispy
One of the most delicious and easy-to-make homemade desserts is grated pie. It is based on crispy shortbread dough, and any jam, nuts, fresh and frozen berries will give the pastry an original flavor.
Cook Tetiana shared a recipe for a delicious grated pie with jam on Instagram, which is crispy and flavorful.
To make the pie crispy, add mayonnaise to the dough.
Ingredients:
- flour – 350 g
- baking soda – 0.5 tsp.
- butter – 200 g
- eggs – 1 pc.
- sugar – 100 g
- mayonnaise – 1 tbsp.
- lemon juice – 1 tbsp.
- jam – 250 g
Method of preparation:
1. Sift the flour into a bowl, add baking soda, and mix.
2. Rub the cold butter into the flour.
3. Mix the egg, sugar, mayonnaise, and lemon juice separately, add this mixture to the flour and butter, and knead the dough. Wrap about a third of the dough in plastic wrap and put it in the freezer, and roll the remaining dough into a thin rectangle about 30-40 cm in size using your hands and a rolling pin.
4. Spread the jam on top, take the dough out of the freezer, and grate it over the jam. Bake the cake for 25 minutes at 180 C.
