For soups: Snail meat pie made of puff pastry with meat filling

A great alternative to bread is pies, preferably with a salty filling. For the base, you can prepare completely different doughs, or you can use simple puff pastry and filo, with them the dish will cook faster and will be very light and with a juicy filling.

Cook Olha Matviy shared a recipe for a flavorful, hearty, and light snail meat pie on her YouTube channel.

Ingredients:

  • Minced chicken - 350 g
  • Onion - 1 pc.
  • Dill - 20 g
  • Salt and pepper - to taste
  • Puff pastry - 500 g

Method of preparation

1. Combine the minced meat with finely chopped onion and dill, salt and pepper.

2. Cut the dough into 7x20 cm rectangles, roll out, spread the filling on top in a thin layer, roll up a tight sausage, seal the edges.

3. Cover the baking sheet with parchment, put the sausages in a snail's pace, starting from the center. Brush the top with egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds.

4. Bake the pie in a preheated oven at 180° for 40 minutes.
