Easier than Charlotte: a flavorful tangerine pie in 30 minutes
Tangerines are one of the healthiest, tastiest, juiciest fruits. They are best eaten raw, but they also make delicious desserts, among which winter pies take a special place.
Chef Volodymyr Yaroslavskyi shared a recipe on Instagram for a soft, flavorful, delicious upside-down tangerine pie cooked in a pan.
Ingredients:
- medium-sized tangerines – 5-6 pcs.
- butter – 20 g
- sugar – 30 g
- ground cardamom or cinnamon
For the dough:
- eggs – 1 pc.
- milk – 50 ml
- sugar – 50 g
- oil – 25 g
- flour – 120 g
- baking powder – 5 g
- lemon zest or vanilla
Method of preparation:
1. Pour sugar into a non-stick frying pan and add butter, mix and bring to a caramel color.
2. Dough: beat eggs with sugar, pour in milk, mix, add flour, and baking powder, pour in oil, and mix well. The dough should be like sour cream.
3. Peel the tangerines, cut them in half, put them in a frying pan, and sprinkle with spices.
4. Pour the batter on top, cover, and leave the cake on low heat to cook until golden brown.
5. Check the doneness of the cake with a wooden skewer. Turn the cake over and serve.
