One of the most delicious, satisfying and easy-to-prepare rice dishes is pilaf. It can be cooked both in a pot and in a frying pan.

Cook Polina shared a recipe on Instagram for a delicious crumbly pilaf with mussels in a pan with vegetables.

Recipe for pilaf

Ingredients:

  • rice - 1 cup
  • onion - 1 pc.
  • carrots - 1 pc.
  • mussels - 400 g
  • butter - 15-20 g
  • spices for pilaf and mussels
  • salt - to taste
  • warm water - 2 cups
  • garlic - 3-4 cloves.

Method of preparation:

1. Fry onions and carrots in butter for 10 minutes and add thawed mussels, fry for 2-3 minutes and add spices.

2. Then add salt and pepper and rice, cover with warm water, add garlic and cover.

3. Cook over medium heat for 20-25 minutes, then stir and you're ready to eat!
