Crispy poppy seed kifles in 10 minutes: share the recipe for the perfect dough

Homemade kifles can be made from yeast and puff pastry. Jam, nuts, poppy seeds, and chocolate are the best fillings.

The cook shared on Instagram a recipe for crispy poppy seed kifles that are very quick to prepare.

Ingredients:

  • 125 ml. milk
  • 50 g. live yeast
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp. l. sugar
  • 0.5 tsp. of salt
  • 10 g of vanilla sugar
  • 125 g. butter/margarine
  • 400 g of flour
  • 400 g poppy seeds/jam or condensed milk
  • oil and sugar for crisping

Method of preparation:

1. Add salt, sugar, vanilla sugar, egg, melted butter, yeast and flour to warm milk, and knead the dough.

2. Immediately roll out the dough into a layer and cut it into triangles, put the filling and wrap the kifles (similar to croissants).

3. Dip each kifle additionally in oil and sugar with poppy seeds, place on a baking sheet.

4. In a preheated oven, bake the kifles for 10 minutes at 190 C and 10 minutes at 180 C.
