Better than grated:cherry curd cake without dough for tea
The best treat for tea is a pie. They can be made from different doughs and even without it, replacing it with cookies or pita bread. Berries, cottage cheese, chocolate, nuts, and fruits can be used as fillings.
Cook Halyna shared on Instagram a recipe for a delicious, flavorful cherry curd pie, which will be the perfect tea treat.
Ingredients:
- Maria biscuits – 200 g
- butter – 50 g
- milk – 100 ml
Curd mass:
- cream cheese – 300 g
- thick yogurt – 200 g
- sugar – 2 tbsp.
Cherry mass:
- pitted cherries – 600 g
- starch – 1.5 tbsp.
- water – 150 ml
- sugar – 1-2 tbsp.
Method of preparation:
1. Add sugar to the cherries and cook over a fire for 10 minutes, stirring constantly.
2. Stir the starch in cold water, pour it into the prepared cherries, and cook stirring until thickened. Remove from the stove, cover with a contact bag, and cool to room temperature.
3. Crush the biscuits and place them in the bottom of the mold. Pour hot melted butter over the top.
4. Combine the cottage cheese mass with yogurt and sugar, whisk with a whisk or blender, and pour over the cookies. Put in the oven for 40 minutes at 170 C.
5. Cool the finished cake, then put the cherry mixture on top, smooth it with a spatula, and put it in the refrigerator overnight to stabilize.
