Ingredients:
- chicken liver – 400 g
- onion – 1 pc.
- lemon – 1 pc.
- thyme – a few sprigs
- cognac – 50 ml
- cream cheese – 150 g
- butter – 30 g
- salt, pepper – to taste
Method of preparation:
1. Wash the liver, clean it from the veins, and cut it into medium pieces.
2. Chop the onion and fry until golden brown in butter, season with salt and pepper, and add thyme.
3. Add the liver, stir, cook until soft, and pour in the cognac. Be sure to remove the thyme afterward.
4. Put the liver and onions in a blender, add the cheese, and blend until smooth.
5. Chop the lemon very finely, salt, and add to the paste.
6. The finished pate can be stored in the refrigerator in a suitable container for 5 days.
