Appetizer crab cake made of puff pastry with unusual fillings: we share a recipe for a festive table
Puff pastry is an ideal product for making delicious desserts, snacks, and a big plus is that you don't need to cook it, you can buy it ready-made.
Cook Irina shared a recipe for a delicious appetizer puff pastry cake with crab sticks on Instagram.
Ingredients:
- Puff pastry - 300 g
Filling 1:
- boiled eggs - 4 pcs.
- mayonnaise - 2 tbsp.
- salt, black pepper - to taste
Filling 2:
- crab sticks - 180 g
- mayonnaise - 2 tbsp.
Filling 3:
- processed cheese - 3 pcs.
- mayonnaise - 2 tbsp.
- garlic - 2 cloves.
- dill
Method of preparation:
1. Roll out the puff pastry to a thickness of about 3 mm and cut into 2 rectangles. Bake in the oven for 15 minutes at 180 C. Additionally, bake a small piece of dough, you will need to make crumbs from it.
2. Filling 1: grate the eggs, add salt, black pepper and mayonnaise, mix well.
3. For the second filling, finely chop the crab sticks, add mayonnaise and mix.
4. For the third filling, grate the processed cheeses, add mayonnaise, garlic and dill and mix.
5. Assemble the cake: divide each ready-made cake lengthwise into 2 parts and put the filling on the 2nd part, crab sticks on the 2nd part, and spread the melted cheese filling evenly on the 3rd part. Cover with the 4th layer and spread a little mayonnaise on top and all sides of the cake. Make a small piece of baked dough into a crumb and decorate the cake. Leave the cake in the refrigerator for 3-4 hours.
