Here's how the participants of the national selection are promoting themselves before the final: Yaktak sings on the bus, and Melovin "drowns" Jerry Heil and alyona alyona

The finalists of the national selection have become more active before the show

The closer the day of the final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 - February 3 - gets, the more active the contestants become. In recent days, not only the leaders of the betting industry, but also singers who are not even close to winning have been promoting themselves and their songs.

Some of them surprised with originality and humor this year, while others seem to have resorted to outright manipulation and pressure on listeners. We decided to analyze what the finalists do to win.

Jerry Heil and alyona alyona with the song "Teresa & Maria"

The stars didn't need any special PR from the very first day of their release. The artists' track, although it caused remarks due to the mention of Mother Teresa, became a hit and topped the charts. Within a week, it gained millions of views and became one of the most popular in the history of the national selection.

The artists did not focus on criticism, but instead focused on live performances during TV and radio broadcasts. The live performance helped them win even more hearts, and now the odds on the singers' victory have reached 65%.

Melovin with the song "Dreamer"

The artist, who has already been to Eurovision once, decided to "drown" the main competitors. During one of his interviews, he asked the audience in a manipulative manner what they wanted: for the world to hear about Mother Teresa or Volodymyr Ivasyuk in Sweden.

It should be explained that Melovin allegedly received a sign and inspiration from the legendary composer during a trip to Lviv. On that day, the artist went to Lychakiv Cemetery and asked the maestro for help, and by the end of the day, the track was written.

Yaktak with the hit Lalala

The rapper Yaktak managed to create a hit, but was criticized because it was supposedly "not the format" of Eurovision. To increase his chances of winning, the artist tried to convince listeners that this is the kind of sound that can conquer Europe.

The uncomplicated motif really stuck in the minds of many people and gathered more than a million views, but the artist did not stop there. He started promoting it through his colleagues - he launched a flash mob where new generation stars and ordinary fans sang the hit, and he also starred in a viral ad for the Teremky Metro, where he sang on buses for people who cannot use the metro.

By the way, the Eurovision Song Contest Lalala was once joined by the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 winner Kalush Orchestra, but now it is promoting Teresa & Maria.

SKYLERR with the song Time Is Running Out

The artist doesn't have many chances to win yet, according to bookmakers, but she is quite bold in criticizing her rivals. For example, she said that the song Lalala would sound incorrect in Europe in the context of Ukraine living in the realities of war.

Nahaba with the track Glasses

The band members were accused of copying the style of the Russian band Tatu, but the stars skillfully got out of the scandal. They showed what kind of music they were inspired by and joked that there could not be a UPA flag in the room of Tatu fans.

ANKA and the song "Palala"

The singer decided to do without public scandals, accusations and requests. She is preparing for the selection, rehearsing and has already released the track on acoustic to draw more attention to it.

The other participants: INGRET, NAZVA, DREVO, Ziferblat, and YАGODY are systematically and calmly promoting themselves, not conflicting, participating in charity projects and giving interviews. Some of their live performances, such as YAGODY's, were very popular with the audience and gave the band more chances.
