On Monday, April 15, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy chaired a new meeting of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief's Staff. The two most important topics discussed at this stage were the frontline and energy.

The President announced this on his Telegram channel on Monday evening. Chief of Staff Oleksandr Syrskyi reported on the developments on the main frontlines, our defense needs, and future actions.

There were also reports from the head of the Foreign Intelligence Service, Oleh Ivashchenko, and the head of the Defense Intelligence Agency, Kyrylo Budanov. They spoke about the enemy's plans.

Defense Minister Rustem Umerov spoke about contracts for the supply of weapons, electronic warfare systems, and drones.

In addition, the President heard reports from representatives of the energy sector – the Ministry of Energy, Energoatom, Ukrenergo, Naftogaz – on the efforts they are making to protect systems, restore damaged generation, and reconnect consumers. Deputy Prime Minister Oleksandr Kubrakov also spoke about the protection of critical infrastructure, especially in the frontline and border regions.

"Physical protection cannot fully protect some facilities from terrorist attacks. This can only be done by sufficiently effective air defense. We are grateful to those friends who understand this and quickly responded to our calls to support Ukraine's air shield. But the intensity of Russian attacks requires more unity," Zelenskyy said.

He drew attention to how the free world defended Israel during the shelling from Iran. The partners showed that unity is not only possible but also 100% effective.

"Decisive actions of the allies prevented the success of terror and the loss of infrastructure and forced the aggressor to cool down. The same is possible in protecting Ukraine, which, like Israel, is not a NATO member, from terror. And this does not require the activation of Article 5, only political will is enough," Zelenskyy said.
