AFU soldiers prepare for assaults in extremely difficult conditions: footage of flooded trenches appeared
The network showed how soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine train to make assaults in flooded trenches with the support of Swedish CV-90 IFVs. These could be exactly the conditions of the Ukrainian troops' offensive at the front in the fall.
The corresponding video was published by journalist Yurii Butusov on his Telegram channel on September 2. "Spectacular footage of the Ukrainian military training on mopping up flooded trenches with the support of Swedish CV-90 IFV", the publication says (to watch the video, scroll to the end of the news).
The journalist added that the military is preparing for assaults in ultra-complicated conditions because that's what trenches can be like when it rains in the fall.
As seen in the video, a Swedish CV-90 is used to drop-off soldiers, followed by instructor-led combat training at an enemy position.
As reported by OBOZREVATEL, Ukrainian soldiers hope that the pace of the counteroffensive will increase significantly after breaking through the enemy's second line of defense. An AFU marine told The New York Times that the defenders "will move like rockets."
