The owner of the World Boxing Council (WBC) belt Tyson Fury (34-0-1, 24 KOs) confirmed that he is scheduled to fight Oleksandr Usyk (21-0, 14 KOs) this year. In addition, according to him, the winner of the confrontation will fight the strongest in the fight between Anthony Joshua (27-3, 24 KOs) and Francis Ngannou (0-1, 0 KOs).

He made the announcement in an interview with Sky Sports. The unified heavyweight champion noted that he would love to fight Joshua for the title of the best boxer in the UK and predicted a difficult fight against Ngannou on March 8.

"Usyk and I have two fights scheduled for this year, so the winner of our fight will be able to fight the winner of that fight. There's a lot at stake. When you're a contender for the world heavyweight title, it's always a big risk. No matter who Joshua is, he won't be able to get much out of it except for the money, which he already has a lot of. If he beats the big guy Ngannou, which is not a formality because he's a big man who can hit, then we can have a battle for Britain," Fury said.

Earlier, the Gypsy King, as Tyson is called, told us how many rounds he would defeat Usyk in. In addition, the Briton spoke about his cut, which prevented the fight from taking place on February 17. In his turn, Joshua shared his forecast for the Usyk-Fury fight and noted that he considers the Ukrainian's victory unfavorable for him.

As a reminder, the fight with Oleksandr was postponed to May 18 due to the British fighter's injury. The day before, the World Boxing Organization (WBO) made a statement about the rematch.

Dereck Chisora (34-14, 23 KOs), the former rival of the two boxers, gave his categorical forecast for the fight. In addition, the legendary Vitaliy Klychko gave original advice to the Gypsy King.

At the same time, the Ukrainian's team has already decided on a boxer who will replace Tyson if he refuses to enter the ring again. If the Briton does so, he will also face a multimillion-dollar fine.

As OBOZ.UA previously reported, Tyson Fury's father John sharply attacked Oleksandr Usyk's team representatives after they questioned the British boxer's injury.
