"He will be destroyed. There is no other option": former Russian boxer Povetkin talks nonsense about Usyk and praises Lomachenko's silence over Russia
Povetkin speaks out about Lomachenko and Usyk
Former heavyweight champion Alexander Povetkin has issued another batch of nonsense about Oleksandr Usyk (21-0, 14 KOs). After saying that "Ukrainians have been brainwashed" and are actually Russians, the representative of the aggressor country hypocritically suspected our boxer of insincere patriotism.
Povetkin said this in a comment to Sport24. The Russian Vytiaz (Knight), as the native of Kursk is called, criticized Usyk for his position on the Russian terrorist state and also admired Vasyl Lomachenko (17-3, 11 KOs), who plays along with Kremlin propaganda by his silence.

"Usyk? Of course, I felt bad for him, but he probably has no other choice. He's not a bad guy, he's always been in favor of Russia, but what happened now is incomprehensible to me. Or rather understandable. Where does he live? He lives there. He will be destroyed if he does something wrong. This is my opinion. I must pay tribute to Vasya Lomachenko, who left Ukraine (in fact, Vasyl is in the country - ed.), did not say anything. He is a good man. But, of course, in the fight between Fury and Usyk, I will be rooting for Usyk. But I don't understand him," Povetkin said.

Earlier, he criticized Usyk for his anti-Russian statements with the words "you can't talk like that". Povetkin also said that if Russia had not attacked Ukraine, "there would have been a war on our territory." The Russian also repeated the usual propaganda narratives that the Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers "hide behind civilians and then talk bad things about Russians."
