"Get lost": Valuev urged Russia to ban IOC activity
Former world heavyweight champion Nikolay Valuev made a derogatory remark about the International Olympic Committee (IOC), which will not invite Russia and Belarus to the Games in Paris on July 26, as it will do with other participants. The State Duma deputy urged the aggressor country to prepare alternative competitions and tell the world functionaries to get lost by declaring their activities prohibited.
Valuev said this in a commentary to the portal Metaratings. In his opinion, there are no legal grounds to deprive Russia and Belarus of an invitation to the Olympics in the IOC traditional year before the start of the tournament. The countries should sue the committee and defend their rights, he added.
"We need to see legally how this coincides with the charter. If it is necessary to clarify, then clarify it. Legally, they must be wrong. Then we stop keeping the athletes in suspense. We then declare IOC non grata and tell this pack to get lost. We concentrate on world championships, simultaneously sue CAS, as well as prepare alternative games with Asia and the Middle East," Valuev said.
Earlier it became known about the IOC plans to admit Russian athletes to the Games in Paris as refugee teams. This caused a real hysteria in the aggressor country.
For example, Olympic champion Mikhail Mamiashvili spoke in favor of "going to Paris in tanks." Former track and field athlete Yuriy Borzakovsky explained Russia's suspension from international tournaments with the words "they are afraid of us, we are the best".
As reported by OBOZREVATEL, Olympic champion in ice dancing and traitor to Ukraine Tatyana Navka foolishly said that Russia's suspension significantly affected world sport.
