Thomas Bach gave a frank interview

Commenting on the situation around the 2024 Olympics, Thomas Bach, President of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), said that fans' hearts are filled with a desire to see something positive that would unite them and give them hope in difficult times. According to the IOC chief, humanity is tired of bad news.

"People are tired of the continuous flow of negativity, aggression and extremely bad news they face every day," Bach said at a press conference.

As a confirmation of his words, Bach cited statistics according to which 70% of Americans said they were going to watch the Olympics.

"This is also confirmed by the social media activity of our Olympic pages, where 790 million interactions were recorded in January alone," Bach emphasized.
