Honored coach of the USSR was ridiculed online

Tatyana Tarasova, an honored figure skating coach of the USSR, reacted with enthusiasm to the banner with Isinbayeva in Paris, calling it an advertisement for Russian sports. The 77-year-old Muscovite said that sport without Russian representatives "is just ridiculous."

Tarasova said that the poster is "the first major advertisement for the Olympic Games - and with Russians."

"They put up this photo, saying that look: this is the Olympic Games and this is Russian. And everyone knows that she is Russian. Everyone understands that it's Isinbayeva, and I think it's a huge advertisement for Russia and Russian sports. Because without Russian sports, it's just ridiculous, we have been, are and will be. And here they are showing us that, when necessary, they advertise the Olympic Games in this way. When will they take this banner down? Maybe they shouldn't tell them how to speak? Then they will keep it for a long time," the coach said in an interview with TASS.

In the comments, Russian fans ridiculed the pathos of their titled compatriot.

"Has Tarasova seen the commercial herself, that she is so excited?", "The whole broken-steel brotherhood is so excited about a very mediocre ass," "Apparently, they just haven't figured out whose ass is on the poster yet," "In France, someone got screwed, and the propagandists are happy and trumpeting it as if they won the Olympics," "Oh, what kind of advertising for Russian sports is there, the advertiser doesn't know Isinbayeva, and the colors of the French and Russian flags are the same, so they got it mixed up," users write.

Russian fans are wondering how quickly they "changed their minds" about Isinbayeva, who was recently harassed for her photo in Tenerife.

As it turned out, the photo is about two years old and is an accidental mistake by designers preparing an advertising campaign for the construction of Olympic venues.
