On July 18, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived in the UK on an official visit, which includes his participation in the summit of the European Political Community. He will hold talks with partners and sign security agreements.

At the airport, the leader was met by former Armed Forces chief Valerii Zaluzhnyi, who recently assumed the duties of Ukraine's ambassador to the United Kingdom. This was reported by the press service of the President's Office.

"For the fourth time, the countries of the European space are gathering for the summit of the European Political Community to discuss common themes and challenges. I have arrived in the UK to participate in the summit, hold bilateral meetings with partners, and sign new security agreements," Zelenskyy said.

In the UK, the President will pay special attention to relations between the two countries. He is scheduled to meet with King Charles III of the United Kingdom, Northern Ireland, and the Commonwealth, as well as Prime Minister Keir Starmer, government officials, and defense company executives.

The two sides will sign an intergovernmental agreement to support the Ukrainian defense industry, discuss future defense cooperation, and expand Ukraine's defense capabilities.

"Since the first days of the full-scale invasion, the UK has been one step ahead in its determination to support Ukraine. This is the kind of determination we need to stop Russian terror," Zelenskyy said.

Last week, The Guardian wrote that in London, the President of Ukraine is to address European leaders at Blenheim Palace. They are going to discuss Ukraine, European security, and democracy.

The conference on Thursday, July 18, is the fourth meeting of the European Political Community, a collective launched after the full-scale invasion of Ukraine by Russian troops.

Zelenskyy will also have the opportunity to meet not only with Prime Minister Keir Starmer but also with a whole group of Labor MPs interested in expanding cooperation between the United Kingdom and Ukraine.
