On Saturday, November 25, Swiss President Alain Berset arrived in Ukraine on an official visit. He is to take part in the International Food Security Summit

He announced his arrival on his account in X, formerly known as Twitter. He also plans to meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to discuss a number of important issues.

"I arrived in Kyiv, where I will take part in the International Food Security Summit and meet with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. The main focus will be on the consequences of Russia's military aggression for the world, food security and Switzerland's long-term support for Ukraine," Berset wrote.

Earlier, Swiss President Alain Berset said that joining the sanctions against Russia does not contradict neutrality. According to him, when one state aggressively and grossly violates the borders of another, third countries cannot simply go about their business as usual.

As a reminder, Switzerland does not rule out the possibility of using the assets of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation for the post-war recovery of Ukraine. We are talking about an amount of about $8.3 billion.
