Joshua made an unexpected wish for Usyk in the fight with Fury

Joshua spoke about the fight between Usyk and Fury

Former two-time world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua (27-3, 24 KOs) has hinted that he would like to see a brutal victory for Oleksandr Usyk (21-0, 14 KOs) over Tyson Fury (34-0-1, 24 KOs). The Watford native avoided making a direct prediction for the May 18 fight, but criticized his compatriot for his long tongue.

Joshua spoke about this in an interview with DAZN on the eve of his confrontation with Francis Ngannou (0-1, 0 KOs), which will take place on March 8. According to the Briton, he would like Usyk to punish Fury for all his statements against his rivals and take all the super-heavyweight belts.

"I don't want to talk much about this fight. I have a feeling that everyone will ask me about Fury and Usyk. I don't want to sound like a Tyson hater. But I don't really respect Fury because of what he says. Yeah, Fury talks a lot, so I want his jaw to be broken in this fight," Joshua said.

As a reminder, Usyk and Fury were supposed to fight on February 17, but due to Tyson's autopsy, the fight was postponed to May 18. The day before, the World Boxing Organization (WBO) made a statement about the rematch between the Ukrainian and the British.

The former rival of the two boxers, Derek Chisora (34-14, 23 KOs), gave his categorical forecast for the fight. In addition, the legendary Vitaliy Klychko gave original advice to the Gypsy King.

Fury himself promised to destroy his opponent. He also spoke frankly about the injury that led to the postponement of the show. And Croatian heavyweight Agron Smakic (20-2, 18 KOs) told the whole truth about what happened in the British camp.

In turn, promoter Eddie Hearn informed that, according to the organizers of boxing nights in Saudi Arabia, the winner of the Usyk-Fury fight on May 18 will fight the strongest in the confrontation between Anthony Joshua (27-3, 24 KOs) and Francis Ngannou (0-1, 0 KOs).

At the same time, the Ukrainian's team has already decided on a boxer who will replace Tyson if he refuses to enter the ring again. If the Briton does so, he will also face a multimillion-dollar fine.

As OBOZ.UA previously reported, Tyson Fury's father John sharply attacked Oleksandr Usyk's team representatives after they questioned the British boxer's injury.
