Matt Damon and Ben Affleck, as well as Javier Bardem and Penelope Cruz, like to act in movies together.

In Hollywood, there are actors (like Meryl Streep and Robert De Niro or Matt Damon and Ben Affleck) who interact so well on screen that directors, screenwriters (and, of course, the audience) want to see them together again and again. The chemistry between them and their skillful acting turn every joint project into something special, and iconic...

So, which star duos have starred together in five or more films? Find out in the OBOZ.UA article.

1. Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter

American actor Johnny Depp and his colleague, British actress Helena Bonham Carter, thanks to their collaboration with director Tim Burton, have become an integral part of his fantastic films ("Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" (2005), "Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street" (2007), "Alice in Wonderland" (2010), and "Dark Shadows" (2012)). In 2013, these two again delighted the audience with their appearance in the American western "The Lone Ranger." However, after the failure of this project at the box office (the large sums of money spent on promoting the film did not pay off), Depp and Carter decided not to act together again.

2. Matt Damon and Ben Affleck

Future American actors Matt Damon and Ben Affleck met when they were both less than 10 years old. They lived just a few blocks away from each other. Since then, they have become best friends... When they grew up, they began to collaborate as screenwriters and producers, and starred together in ten films ("Field of Dreams" (1989), "School Ties" (1992), "Glory Daze" (1995), "Chasing Amy" (1997), "Good Will Hunting" (not only played the main roles but also wrote the script; 1997), "Dogma" (1999), "The Third Wheel" (2002), "Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back" (2001), "Jersey Girl" (2004) and "Air Jordan" (2023)).

Nowadays, Damon and Affleck seem to have had enough of acting. Even if we're not talking about filming together... They rarely appear in movies. Instead, they are engaged in production projects, including series for HBO, SyFy, and Fox.

3. Vincent Cassel and Monica Bellucci

French film actor Vincent Cassel and his colleague, Italian actress and supermodel Monica Bellucci, are one of the most magnetic couples in European cinema. Together, they have starred in nine films of various genres (dramas, comedies, mysteries, etc.), not limited to purely romantic roles: "L'appartement" (1996), "As You Want Me" (1996), "Dobermann" (1997), "Pleasure" (1998), "Unruly" (1999), "Brotherhood of the Wolf" (2001), "Irreversible" (2002), "Agents secrets" (2004), and "Sheitan" (2006).

If they had to play characters in love, Cassel and Bellucci didn't have to pretend, because in real life they were married from 1999 to 2013 and became parents to two daughters. When the marriage broke up, the stars maintained a warm relationship, but decided not to act together.

4. Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson

American comedian and producer Ben Stiller and American actor and screenwriter Owen Wilson first met on the set of the movie "The Cable Guy" (1996). The audience liked this tandem so much that the celebrities decided to act together again. To do this, they were cast in the movie "Permanent Midnight" (1998). And again, it was a success!

Later, Stiller and Wilson appeared in ten more projects, which is why they were nicknamed The Frat Pack in Hollywood (a nickname given to a group of American comedy actors who have starred together in many of the highest-grossing comedy films since the mid-1990s). The films in question are "Meet the Parents" (2000), "Zoolander" (2001), "The Royal Tenenbaums" (2001), "Starsky and Hutch" (2004), "Meet the Fockers" (2004), "Night at the Museum" (2006), "Night at the Museum 2" (2009), "Meet the Fockers 2" (2010), "Night at the Museum: The Secret of the Tomb" (2014) and "Zoolander No. 2" (2016).

5. Javier Bardem and Penelope Cruz

The Spanish actor Javier Bardem and his wife, who has been married since 2010, the Spanish actress Penelope Cruz, got their first big roles in the micro-budget tragicomedy "Jamón, jamón" (1992). Although they weren't dating at the time, but were friends, they already had a chemistry on screen... So the two of them didn't mind continuing to work together. As a result, their filmography has expanded to include eight more joint projects: "Love Can Seriously Damage Your Health" (1996), "A Lot Like Love" (1996), "Live Flesh" (1997), "No News from God" (2001), "Vicky Cristina Barcelona" (2008), "The Counselor" (2013), "Loving Pablo" (2017), and "Everybody Knows" (2018).
