Take your time with fasting days! How to get back in shape after the holidays, the expert answers
The winter holidays are a time when people are used to indulging in more gastronomic pleasures than on ordinary days. Usually, such holidays go by without any accidents, but the additional stress on the body is felt quite strongly.
That's why most people try to get in shape right away. On her Instagram, a nutritionist with the nickname samoylenko_diet posted 5 simple rules for what to do with your diet after the holidays.
According to the nutritionist, you shouldn't torture your body with fasting days. It's better to just go back to your usual diet.
The expert says that first of all, you need to start eating at the same time and not skip meals. Breakfast and lunch should be nutritious and rich in vitamins. And you should go to bed on the same day you wake up.
No simple carbohydrates
You also need to remove simple carbohydrates from your diet, as you have already consumed your share of various desserts and fatty foods during the New Year holidays. Sugar, fast food, baked goods, and flour products should be limited to a minimum. And if you really want something sweet, you can eat fresh fruit, but only in the morning.
The equator rule
You should follow the equator rule. That is, lunch should be no later than 3 pm. And after that time, carbohydrates (starchy vegetables, cereals, bread, fruits, and sweets) should be excluded from the diet. After 15:00, you should also not eat foods that have a high insulin index, such as red meat, milk, and dairy products.
You should start your day with 1-2 glasses of warm water.
