Beetroot sandwich spread: how to make an unusual pate
Beets, chickpeas, and tahini can easily turn into a sandwich spread for all occasions. This dish is suitable for breakfast, for a buffet table when guests arrive, and just for a friendly conversation.
Food blogger Inna Levenets shared her recipe for an unusual beetroot, chickpea, and tahini spread on her Instagram page. She always offers dishes that will not harm your figure either, so this spread can be safely eaten by those who adhere to the principles of proper nutrition.
Ingredients:
- 2 medium boiled beets
- 200 g of canned chickpeas
- 2 finely chopped cloves of garlic
- 2 tbsp. of tahini
- 2 tbsp. of lemon juice
- 1/2 tbsp. of olive oil
- salt to taste
Method of preparation:
1. Grate the boiled beets on a fine grater.
2. Crush the canned chickpeas with a fork.
3. Mix the beets, chickpeas, salt, lemon juice, tahini, and garlic.
4. Spread the spread on black bread, and top with avocado, chickpeas, and herbs.
