Klopotenko explains why he does not cook for Zelenskyy and what strict prohibitions are in place for presidential spouses during the war

Restaurateur and food blogger Yevhen Klopotenko admitted that he has never cooked for Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, although he has previously created dishes for his wife Olena Zelenska. He explained that after the outbreak of a full-scale war, strict food bans were imposed on the president's family.

The chef spoke about this in an interview on Slava Demin's YouTube channel. The culinary expert hopes that sooner or later he will have the opportunity to feed the presidential couple.

"Zelenskyy is the only one for whom I have not cooked yet. Well, you can't cook there. During a full-scale invasion, even the First Lady cannot be fed or given gifts. You can't do anything," the restaurateur said.

According to Yevhen Klopotenko, before a dish gets to the table of any politician, it will definitely be tested. The blogger recalled that when he cooked for U.S. Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, several people were closely monitoring the process.

Earlier, the chef said that he had the opportunity to treat Olena Zelenska to his culinary masterpieces when they were developing the school menu together. At that time, the dishes were checked by four security services and two sanitary and epidemiologists from the State Consumer Service, who took the necessary smears. However, after the start of the full-scale invasion, the control became much more serious, and food was not accepted at all.
