Former president faces $250 million in fines

Former US President Donald Trump and his three children will testify in a real estate fraud case in New York. The head of the family is scheduled to testify on November 6, while his heirs will do it next week.

This was reported by the BBC. On October 27, a judge ruled that Trump's daughter Ivanka should testify against her brothers as she had previously been excluded from the accused.

Thus, in early November, Ivanka will testify against Eric and Donald Jr. She had previously tried not to testify, arguing that she had resigned from the Trump Organization.

However, Judge Arthur Engoron said that she still maintains these ties.

At the same time, Donald Trump Jr. is to be the first to testify.

The judge has already ruled that Trump overstated the value of his real estate to get favorable loans.

The politician himself had previously stated that he would testify at the first opportunity. However, he and all his children have denied the allegations.

As you know, the trial focuses on six other claims brought in the case, including falsification of business records, insurance fraud, and conspiracy.

If proven guilty, Trump faces $250 million in fines and severe restrictions on Trump's business.

As reported by OBOZ.UA, a court in New York ruled that Trump and the Trump Organization had been committing fraud for years while building a real estate empire. Trump allegedly overstated the value of his assets to get favorable deals.
