The main mental difference between the Ukrainian nation and the Russians is that Ukrainians do not look down on others or vice versa. We see ourselves as equal among equals in the global community, and the Kremlin's current policy is based on colonial views of the world.

This was stated by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy in his June 19 State of the Union address. We respect every nation and therefore count on every voice in cooperation between peoples, the head of state noted and added that this is how the UN Charter is built – so that all states matter.

"We perceive the whole world as equal, and this is our ideological difference from Russia. Putin, on the other hand, wants only him or someone else to matter, whom he determines. This is Russia's typical colonial view of the world, which we, together with all our partners, must break. And the format of the Peace Summit, the format of our communiqué, the format of further preparatory work for the second Summit will ensure fair treatment of every nation, every state, and, of course, Ukraine," the President said.

Zelenskyy noted that the number of signatures for the Peace Summit communiqué had increased today.

"The representation of the American continent, in particular Latin America, has increased. It is officially the Organization of American States, which unites the countries of both North and South America. As well as the island nation of Antigua and Barbuda," the head of state said.

Today, Zelenskyy met with the Marshal of the Polish Sejm, Szymon Hołownia.

"One of the key topics of our conversation was the protection of Ukraine – our people, our energy sector – from Russian terrorist attacks. We discussed key needs – what is needed now and how Poland can help. Of course, we also discussed the entire bilateral agenda of our countries," the president said.

Zelenskyy also held a meeting with government officials and the National Security and Defense Council Secretary on the energy situation.

"We are preparing solutions that will make the heating season more reliable and give people more opportunities to get through this extremely difficult period in terms of energy, shortages, and blackouts. I have instructed to present all the details of what the state can do and the details of what specific areas of energy we need to continue to mobilize partners for," he said.

Traditionally, the President thanked every one of those who are now defending the country with arms. Today, he signed decrees on awarding state decorations to our soldiers – 445 state awards, including 175 posthumously.

"Today, I would like to pay special tribute to the soldiers of the National Guard of Ukraine who are defending our country in the Kharkiv sector. The 2nd assault detachment of the "Omega" Special Forces Center of the National Guard. The 3rd Special Forces Brigade of the National Guard "Spartan", especially soldier Bohdan Livak and junior sergeant Bohdan Sydor. The 13th National Guard Brigade "Charter" – senior soldier Ruslan Fedchun. Border Guard Brigade "Hart" – Sergeant Vitalii Lysyi. Chop and Lviv Border Guard Detachments – Senior Soldier Bohdan Mahotskyi and Senior Sergeant Denys Lanhazov. The "Revenge" brigade, whose units are fighting in the Lyman, Siverskyi, and Bakhmut areas – soldier Andrii Kyrylchuk and chief sergeant Vladyslav Mysko. I thank you, guys, and all your brothers," the president said.
