"Unless we have to save Europe." Zaluzhnyi comments on the likelihood of women's mobilization to the army

Ambassador of Ukraine to the United Kingdom, former Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valerii Zaluzhnyi suggests that women will have to be mobilized into the Armed Forces. But under one condition.
He said this at the Chatham House think tank in London. The former head of the Armed Forces noted that Ukraine will mobilize women into the ranks of the Armed Forces only in the event of a third world war and if it is necessary to defend Europe. However, he hopes that it will not come to a world war.
"If we need to mobilize women to protect Europe from war, we will do it. But I think we can prevent this – a full-scale war in Europe, which began in 1939. And we can prevent it in other ways, without drafting Ukrainian women," Zaluzhnyi said.
At the same time, former Armed Forces chief Zaluzhnyi noted that it is "almost impossible" to get out of the "protracted" war with Russia, and this is a consequence of the attitude of Ukraine's partners to the war.
"The collective West did not believe in Ukraine. Even after coming to Ukraine's aid, the West, fearing either a nuclear war or escalation, did not provide Ukraine with the necessary amount of weapons. Therefore, in 2023, we were unable to achieve any significant success in defeating Russia and entered a state of protracted war," the former commander of the Armed Forces emphasized.
Zaluzhnyi clarified that this is his personal opinion.
