Ukrainian soldiers eliminated 30 occupants and damaged enemy boats in Crimea: Zelenskyy comments on special operation

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy commented on the special operation to land Ukrainian troops in the temporarily occupied Crimea. During the raid, Ukrainian soldiers killed 30 occupants and damaged enemy boats.

The Head of State spoke about this during a press conference with the leader of Portugal. The President noted that it was too early to talk about the liberation of the peninsula.

"It is too early to talk about the liberation of Crimea. This is the first thing. Second, I will have a detailed report from General Budanov. Third, yes, these are our guys. Fourth, there were no casualties on our side. This is good news. At least, this is what I could discuss on the phone with the head of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine," he said.

Meanwhile, the intelligence service reported that our defenders damaged four speedboats and killed at least 30 Russians during the special operation.

As a reminder, in the temporarily occupied Crimea, explosions were heard early in the morning on 24 August near the village of Mayak on Cape Tarkhankut. The media reported that there had been a preliminary battle involving boats and aircraft.

According to media reports, the village of Mayak is home to the base of the 3rd Radio Regiment of the Russian Aerospace Forces' radio engineering troops. The Tarkhankut Peninsula also has a radar hub - the Nebo-M radar and the Kasta-2E2 radar. Air defence positions have been prepared along the perimeter.

As OBOZREVATEL previously reported, in a recent interview, Chief of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine Kyrylo Budanov said that the Ukrainian Defence Forces are capable of striking the enemy in any part of the temporarily occupied Crimea if necessary.
