President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky visited the Kyiv region to assess the construction of housing for people who lost their homes because of the war. The head of state emphasized that everything destroyed by the occupiers would be restored and that "Ukraine will never be a country of ruins."
A video of the visit was published on Zelensky's official Telegram channel on October 19. "Today we are working in Kyiv region. I visited the construction of housing for those of our people whose homes were destroyed by the fighting," the message reads.
The President also thanked everyone who is working to restore Ukraine and assured that everything destroyed by the aggressor country will be restored.
"We will restore everything the occupier has destroyed. Ukraine will never be a country of ruins," Zelensky emphasized.
As reported by OBOZ.UA, the US Special Representative for Recovery Penny Pritzker recently visited Kyiv. It was her first visit since taking office. She met with Zelensky to discuss the protection of Ukraine's energy infrastructure and the need for recovery.
