There are prospects for joint production - Zelenskyy after meeting with representatives of British defense companies

On Thursday, July 18, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with representatives of British defense companies. This happened during the summit of the European Political Community.

The Ukrainian leader posted a video of the talks on Telegram. Zelenskyy called the meeting important and promising.

Among the key issues discussed were the prospects for joint defense production, primarily ammunition, air defense systems, guns, armored vehicles, and drones.

Zelenskyy emphasized that the United Kingdom was the first European country to provide Ukraine with lethal weapons, tanks, and long-range weapons.

"It was with the UK that we signed the first security agreement. And we continue to deepen our cooperation in the defense sector," the president said.

As a reminder, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived in the UK on July 18 for an official visit, which includes his participation in the summit of the European Political Community.

As reported, the newly appointed British Prime Minister, Keir Starmer, said that the Armed Forces of Ukraine could use British missiles to strike targets in Russia. He emphasized that only Ukraine should decide how to use the long-range Storm Shadow missiles.
