The situation at the front and priorities for the Ukrainian Armed Forces were discussed: Zaluzhnyi had a phone conversation with General Milley

On June 13, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valeriy Zaluzhnyi called Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Mark Milley. The Ukrainian and American generals discussed the situation at the front and the needs of our troops before the meeting of the partner countries in the Ramstein format.

It is scheduled for June 15. Zaluzhnyi announced the talks with his American counterpart on his Telegram channel on Tuesday evening.

The Commander-in-Chief spoke about what is happening at the frontline in Ukraine. "Heavy defensive and offensive battles continue in the east and south of our country. There are some successes, we are implementing our plans and moving forward," the post reads.

In addition, before the new, 13th meeting of the contact group on defence in the Ramstein format, the parties discussed priorities for the Ukrainian army. Zaluzhnyi said it was important to strengthen our air defence, artillery and counter-battery capabilities.

"We agreed to continue the dialogue. I thank General Milley for his consistent and unwavering support for Ukraine," the Ukrainian general said. He concluded his message with the words: "Together to Victory!".

- Defence Minister Oleksiy Reznikov said that at the new Ramstein meeting of Ukraine's partner states, they will discuss the details of work within the so-called coalition of fighter jets. The next issues to be discussed are air defence, artillery, shells, ammunition, equipment repair and maintenance, and resources in general.

- Representatives of the Air Force of Ukraine are to attend the meeting in the Belgian capital, Brussels, as members of the delegation from Kyiv.
