On Friday, April 5, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy visited the Chernihiv region. There he inspected the construction of fortifications and a defense line on the border with Russia.

The head of state announced this in his Telegram. He noted that he had been informed about the construction of three lines of defense in the region.

During the trip, Zelenskyy inspected reinforced concrete structures, trenches, dugouts, firing positions, APC trenches, and an anti-tank ditch. The stronghold is equipped with non-explosive barriers to deter enemy equipment.

In addition, the President was informed about the construction of three lines of defense in the region. According to Viacheslav Chaus, head of the Chernihiv Regional Military Administration, capital fortifications are being built in the region. In particular, a continuous strip of non-explosive obstacles, minefields, and an extensive network of strongholds have been created along the entire border with Russia and Belarus.
