This year, Ukraine expects to receive F-16 fighters from its partners and is taking all necessary measures to ensure their effective operation. In particular, in terms of deploying the aircraft in the country.

However, it is expected that the terrorist state Russia will "hunt" for the Fighting Falcon delivered to our defenders. This was stated by Ilya Yevlash, spokesman for the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, during a telethon.

He emphasized that today the enemy is actively trying to attack our airfields, but Ukrainian aviation continues to perform tasks and is quite successful.

"There is no reason to think that they will succeed in disrupting something 'very much,'" the Air Force representative assured.

He also added that all necessary measures will be taken to ensure the safety of Western aircraft and guarantee their active use for the performance of tasks.

To recap: The Netherlands has announced that it will deliver the first F-16s to Ukraine this summer. After that, the delivery of these combat aircraft will be put on a "rolling basis". Ukraine is also expected to receive fighter jets from Denmark in the near future.

As reported by OBOZ.UA, according to ISW, Ukrainian forces are conducting operations to weaken Russian air defense, in particular by striking such facilities in the temporarily occupied Crimea and on the territory of the Russian Federation. If successful, this tactic could allow Ukraine to use Western aircraft more effectively in the long term.
