Russia is trying to protect the crossing from Ukrainian attacks

To protect the Crimean Bridge from Ukrainian attacks, the Russian occupiers deployed a self-propelled anti-aircraft missile system "Pantsir-S1" there. It has been visible on satellite images for at least a month.

This was reported on August 28 by the Crimean Wind Telegram channel. It also published a series of satellite photos of the Kerch bridge, which show the Russian "Pantsir."

"Just on the Kerch bridge, Russia has marked a Pantsir-S1 surface-to-air missile system," the message says.

Crimean Wind's monitoring group has found that it has been recorded on satellite photos for at least a month.

The Telegram channel noted that they also have real photos of the SAM on the Crimean bridge.

As a reminder, "Pantsir-S1/SM" is a Russian self-propelled anti-aircraft missile and gun system (SAM) of land and sea-based design. It is designed to provide close cover for civilian and military targets, including long-range air defense systems, against all modern and advanced air attack weapons.

It is also designed to protect against ground and surface threats. In 2015, the Russian Federation adopted a new "Pantsir-S2" system with improved characteristics.
